MedLawLit #8 VR and Diffusion theory

Virtual Reality is a new and current technology currently riding the diffusion bell curve. now, unlike most technologies that have gone through the Diffusion theory curve, VR has had a really low start, mostly due to it being Hella expensive. VR first hit the commercial market in 2012 with the first version of the Oculus rift, and later being brought more mainstream with the HTC Vive in 2015. these systems would be considered part of the pioneer / early adopters bracket. however, I feel in 2019/2020 we are finally starting to get into the early majority part of the curve. while there are still bloody expensive headsets out there, the Oculus rift S and Quest are finally starting to make high-end VR affordable to the common person. now, VR is still a pricy niche to get into, but there is still time. I'm sure as time goes on, there will be more cheap but powerful headsets to get more folks into the hobby.
